Today I was driving in the car (for luxury stretch limousine services, click here.) listening to the radio and there’s a local station that only plays Christmas music from Thanksgiving until right after Christmas. I LOVE Christmas music! And then Josh Groban came on and sang O Holy Night. Not only is it my favorite song, but man he does it justice. It’s just incredible. Then in my usual form of photographer’s ADD, I immediately started thinking of how I’m just like Josh Groban with my photography business!
I’m amazing!
Ha, just kidding.
But have you noticed that Josh Groban is just good in his genre. He can easily be pegged by anyone as classical/opera. He’s classically trained, has an incredible range and just all around knows music. But you really aren’t ever going to hear him on a country station or rap or anything much more than what he’s been on for years. Why is that? Honestly I think he knows enough about music that he could pull off anything and do it very well, but when it comes down to it, he’s amazing at his speciality.
This is where I finally come in.
You may have noticed that my website has totally geared toward weddings/couples and I rarely post anything on my Facebook page that isn’t wedding/engagement related. Weddings are my specialty. When I do them something comes alive in me and it’s like doing what I am mean’t to do. I do other sessions and I really do love them, but when it comes down to it, weddings are what I want to be known for.
Josh can do a lot of stuff amazing, but the genre that he’s known for is what sends tingles down your spine. It’s the one thing that sets him apart from every one else. He’s an expert in his field.
I want to be the wedding photographer that sends tingles down your spine!
