Thank you all who entered the “Who are you thankful for” contest. I loved ALL of your nominations. Some of them made me cry. I am so glad you all have people in your lives that have made a huge difference in your life. I bet you want to know who won huh?? My judges decided and voted and this is who had the most votes.
Here’s what Gail had to say about her best friend Wendy.
“Wendy…she has been in my life and best friend for 57 years…she is the friend that will buy the magazines and candy from your kids when she doesn’t need it…she was my right hand man at both my daughters weddings decorating, cooking and loading up her van with anything and everything you may need or forget…when my first grandchild had a shower she not only made the best choc cake but dozens of red velvet cupcakes…i have had 4 funerals in the past 3 years that has broken my heart each time..she is the first one their to help and do what ever needs to be done..day’s after she shows up at my office with lunch or just to give a hug..she has helped me keep my mouth shut when i almost jumped on the wrong bandwagon or volunteer for something i didn’t have time for. Wendy is always their for me when i am too tired to keep going. The friend who rarely asks for much in return. I would love to give her something as wonderful as pictures from Kelly.”
Gail, on a personal note this really touched my heart. My mom just lost her best friend of more than 30 years to cancer about 6 months ago. And as I read this it sounded like my mom wrote this about Mrs. Sheila. It sounds like Wendy and Mrs. Sheila were cut from the same cloth. I am so glad you have Wendy in your life and would be honored to take her family pictures.
