I know Kate and Jeff waited for this day for a long time. It was evident in her eagerness to put her dress on and to do the reveal. Kate and Jeff had been together 5 years and last night they finally said I do at the house Kate grew up on. I am sure she learned to ride her bike down that long dirt road and spent a many nights with her family in the backyard just being together and loving each other.
I feel like the year to get to this point from when they booked me was forever. I knew they were going to be a special couple from the moment I met them at City Brew and it was solidified after doing their engagement session. The year went by and the more I just fell in love with their family and their love of God, life and each other. It’s deep and I have no doubt that Kate found someone in Jeff with the same values.
Yesterday there were a lot of tears and more beautiful moments than I could keep track of.
I may get too involved with my couples, but I can’t help it. I just love these guys and wish I could spend every weekend photographing them.
